Aoud Forest by Montale was launched in 2009 and is crafted by Pierre Montale. This Woody Aquatic fragrance opens with aromatic and citrus notes that create a fresh, spicy marine atmosphere, reminiscent of the salty air near the coast. As it develops, the composition reveals its heart of rose, which adds an unexpected floral warmth to the aquatic accord. The base notes of oud and musk ground the scent, creating a rich and earthy finish that evokes the depth of a forest floor.
Pierre Montale’s signature style is evident here — blending modernity with traditional elements in a way that feels both familiar and innovative.
One to two sprays is sufficient — the citrus and aromatic top notes are bright but fleeting. The rich base notes take about an hour to fully bloom, so plan accordingly. This fragrance reads better close to skin rather than across a room, making it ideal for intimate settings.
