XJ 1861 Decas by Xerjoff is a composition that balances the bright freshness of Calabrian mandarin with the warm richness of vanilla and tobacco. Perfumer Chris Maurice crafted this Oriental Floral fragrance, launched in 2021, to create an intriguing tension between its citrus top notes and its balsamic heart and sweet base. The tuberose adds a subtle floral note that is both unexpected and alluring, while benzoin and opoponax lend the scent a depth of resinous warmth.
Apply this fragrance to pulse points for a gentle build that allows each layer to unfold over time. The citrus opening is bright but fleeting, so aim for two sprays to ensure the rich base notes are well-presented throughout the day.
