XXY by Xerjoff, launched in 2008 and crafted by Jacques Flori, is an Oriental Floral fragrance that balances the crispness of citrus with the warmth of powdery woods and earthy spices. The opening notes of bergamot and grapefruit give way to a heart of iris and ylang-ylang, while black pepper adds a subtle spiciness. The base notes of sandalwood, vetiver, and patchouli create a grounding effect, making it an intriguing choice for those who appreciate complexity without excess.
This fragrance develops best with time on skin; apply lightly and allow it to settle for at least 15 minutes. The patchouli base notes take some time to bloom but provide lasting warmth.
