Exquisite Musk by Yves Saint Laurent was launched in 2016 as a fragrance that defies the traditional gender binary, blending spicy and woody notes with an unyielding musky base. The composition opens with ginger, bringing a bright freshness that cuts through to the heart of rose, nutmeg, and cinnamon — creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. As it settles into benzoin, musk, patchouli, ambergris, agarwood (oud), and labdanum, Exquisite Musk transforms into an enveloping warmth, reminiscent of the most luxurious oriental fragrances.
Apply one or two sprays to the pulse points, as the spicy top notes are bright but short-lived. The musky base develops slowly over time, so it's best worn in the evening when its warmth can linger throughout the night.
