The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2017 by Yves Saint Laurent and crafted by perfumer Mathilde Bijaoui, Sleek Suede is a unisex fragrance that marries the warmth of spices with rich woody notes. The composition opens with cacao pod and incense, creating an immediate sense of depth and complexity. This is followed by nutmeg, pepper, and cloves, which add a fresh spicy dimension before settling into a base of oud, patchouli, vanilla, tobacco, and labdanum. These elements create a warm, balsamic aroma that feels both sophisticated and intimate.
Apply Sleek Suede sparingly — its base notes develop slowly over time. A light spritz on pulse points allows the woody warmth to build gradually throughout the day. It’s best suited for evening wear when you want a scent that evolves and lingers close to your skin.
