The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1999 as part of the Blu Mediterraneo collection, Acqua di Parma's Mandorlo di Sicilia is a unisex fragrance that embodies the essence of Italian elegance and warmth. The composition opens with green almond and star anise, bringing a fresh, vibrant burst of Sicilian sun. As it settles into a heart of orange, bergamot, white peach, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and bourbon vanilla, the scent becomes a harmonious blend of fruity sweetness and powdery warmth. The base notes of tolu balsam, white musk, and cedar add depth and a lingering sense of comfort.
Mandorlo di Sicilia is best applied to pulse points for a warm, enveloping effect. The fragrance's longevity ensures that it holds up well throughout the day, so one or two sprays are sufficient. It reads best in warmer seasons when its sunny notes can truly shine.
