The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2024 and crafted by perfumer Celine Perdriel, Oud and Zagara by Acqua di Parma is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance that marries the intensity of oud with the delicate notes of orange blossom (zagara). The composition opens with a bright burst of lemon and nutmeg before transitioning into an intricate heart of ylang-ylang and saffron. The base layers in ambergris, suede, labdanum, vetiver, and musk to create an enveloping warmth that is both luxurious and intimate.
One or two sprays is sufficient — the lemon and nutmeg top notes are bright but fleeting, while the warm base notes build gradually over time. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than across a room, so aim for pulse points like your wrists and neck.
