The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1983 by Amouage, Gold Man is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance that exemplifies the brand's commitment to blending traditional Middle Eastern ingredients with modern perfumery techniques. Created by Guy Robert, this composition opens with lily-of-the-valley and rose hip, which give way to an intricate heart of jasmine, orris root, myrrh, and incense. The base notes of civet, musk, oakmoss, amber, sandalwood, patchouli, and cedar create a warm, enveloping aura that lingers throughout the day.
Gold Man was one of Amouage’s first fragrances, setting the stage for the brand's distinctive approach to perfumery. It is a scent that marries the rich, animalic notes with the softness of white florals and powdery woods, creating an olfactory experience that feels both lasting and innovative.
Gold Man has an enormous sillage and eternal longevity, so start with one spray to ensure it doesn't overpower. It's best applied in layers throughout the day, allowing each note to reveal itself gradually.
