Imitation Woman by Amouage was launched in 2018, crafted by Pierre Negrin. This Chypre Floral fragrance opens with aldehydic freshness and fruity notes like black currant before diving into a heart of ylang-ylang, orange blossom, jasmine, and rose, creating an interplay between brightness and warmth. The base notes of licorice, incense, patchouli, and sandalwood add depth and complexity, grounding the composition with balsamic richness.
Amouage's heritage in Oman is reflected here through its use of traditional Middle Eastern ingredients like incense, but Pierre Negrin’s modern touch ensures that Imitation Woman feels both lasting and contemporary.
Due to its strong sillage and long-lasting nature, one or two sprays are sufficient. The aldehydic top notes fade quickly, but the rich base notes continue to develop over time, making it ideal for evening wear.
