The Library Collection Opus X by Amouage was launched in 2016 as part of the brand's exploration into intricate olfactory narratives. This fragrance opens with a blend of rose and metallic notes, creating an unexpected tension between natural and industrial elements. The heart features aromatic geranium and ylang-ylang, providing a floral warmth that softens the composition without overpowering it. The base offers a rich contrast with Laotian oud and ambrarome, grounding the scent in deep, warm spices and woody accords.
This fragrance has a strong presence in its base notes, so one or two sprays are sufficient. The metallic accents fade quickly, but the oud and amber linger for hours, making it ideal for both daytime and evening wear.
