Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1994 by Nathalie Feisthauer and Xavier Renard for Aramis, Havana is a fragrance that marries the warmth of tobacco with earthy and spicy accords. The composition opens with mandarin orange and artemisia before giving way to a heart of basil, caraway, and cinnamon. The base notes feature fir, carnation, oakmoss, patchouli, vetiver, and sandalwood — creating a rich blend that is both rugged and refined. Havana was designed to evoke the charm of an iconic city while remaining unmistakably Aramis: grounded in classic masculine scents with a modern twist.
Havana has a strong opening with its fresh spicy notes, but it settles into a rich base after about an hour. Apply two sprays to ensure the warm, earthy base notes are prominent throughout the day. It pairs well with cooler weather and evenings, where its depth can truly shine.
