The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1981, Must de Cartier by Cartier is a sophisticated Oriental fragrance created by Jean-Jacques Diener and Nathalie Feisthauer. The composition opens with a vibrant blend of aldehydes, bergamot, lemon, and green mandarin, creating an initial freshness that contrasts beautifully with the warmer heart notes of carnation, ylang-ylang, rose, jasmine, and orchid. As it settles into its base, Must de Cartier reveals rich layers of leather, amber, vanilla, sandalwood, tonka bean, and civet, offering a depth and warmth that is both comforting and intriguing.
Apply Must de Cartier with two sprays to the pulse points. The aldehydic top notes are bright but fade within an hour, allowing the warm base notes to take center stage. It pairs well with cooler evenings when you want something that reads as both fresh and enveloping.
