The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2014, Gentle Camelia by Atkinsons is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance that balances freshness and warmth. The opening notes of black currant and watermelon provide a juicy, aquatic start, while bergamot adds an ozonic freshness. As the composition settles, camelia and violet come to the fore, blending into a soft, powdery heart with heliotrope. The base layers of musk and woody notes offer a lingering warmth that evokes the subtle comfort of a well-worn cashmere sweater.
With its long-lasting nature, Gentle Camelia requires only one or two sprays to maintain presence throughout the day. The fragrance blooms gradually on skin, so applying it shortly before stepping out allows the full composition to develop naturally. It reads best close to the skin rather than projecting strongly into a room.
