Chrome by Azzaro, launched in 1996 and crafted by perfumer Gerard Haury, is a quintessential example of the fresh-citrus-aromatic genre that defined men's fragrances in the late '90s. It opens with vibrant notes like lemon and bergamot, complemented by aromatic elements such as rosemary and neroli, creating an immediate sense of crisp freshness. As it evolves, jasmine and cyclamen add a touch of floral warmth, while oakmoss and cedar introduce earthy depth. Chrome is often compared to Calvin Klein's CK One for its similar fresh, clean profile, making it a staple in many fragrance wardrobes.
Chrome is known for its relatively short longevity, so apply it liberally in areas that warm up quickly like your wrists and neck. Given its clean and fresh nature, it's best suited for daytime wear when you want a scent that’s subtle yet noticeable.
