The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2006 by Versace and crafted by perfumer Olivier Cresp, Versace Man Eau Fraiche is a Woody Aquatic fragrance that stands out for its distinctive sage note. The composition opens with bright citrus from lemon and bergamot, leading into the green freshness of tarragon and cardamom, before settling into a woody base with Brazilian rosewood, cedar, and musk. Despite its strong presence in Versace’s lineup, this fragrance is often described as one of their most underrated men's scents, overshadowed by more prominent releases like Eros and Dylan Blue. Its longevity, however, remains a point of criticism among enthusiasts, who note that it lasts only about 4-5 hours.
Given its shorter longevity as an EDT, Versace Man Eau Fraiche is best applied in multiple light layers for a longer-lasting effect. Its bright citrus opening fades quickly, so reapply throughout the day to maintain its fresh, green character.
