The story behind the bottle.
Onyx by Azzaro, launched in 2005 and crafted by perfumer Françoise Caron, is a Woody Aromatic fragrance that embodies the essence of Mediterranean luxury with its fresh spicy opening and warm, aromatic base. The composition begins with bright citrus notes like mandarin orange and bergamot, underscored by the freshness of basil and cardamom. As these top notes dissipate, the heart reveals lavender and geranium, adding a floral complexity to the blend. The fragrance settles into a rich patchouli base, complemented by leather, oakmoss, benzoin, and amber, creating an enveloping warmth that resonates with sophistication.
Apply one to two sprays to allow the citrus top notes to unfold before settling into the rich base. This fragrance is best experienced close to skin rather than across a room, as it develops its full warmth over time.
