The story behind the bottle.
Xeryus, created by Alberto Morillas and launched by Givenchy in 1986, is a Woody Aromatic fragrance that stands as a proof of the brand's distinctive blend of French elegance and American glamour. This composition opens with a bright burst of citrus—lemon and bergamot—that cuts through the aromatic green notes like a fresh breeze. The heart features floral elements such as jasmine, rose, and lily-of-the-valley, adding layers of warmth and complexity. As it settles into its woody base, sandalwood, cedar, and leather create an earthy depth that feels both grounding and sophisticated.
Xeryus has a rich base that takes time to bloom. Apply it in thin layers for a more gradual development, allowing each note to unfold naturally throughout the day. It pairs well with cooler weather but can also be worn year-round, depending on your preference.
