The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2018 by Givenchy, Gentleman Eau de Parfum is a Woody Aromatic fragrance crafted by perfumers Nathalie Lorson and Olivier Cresp. The composition opens with the freshness of bergamot and black pepper, giving way to a heart of orris and lavender that adds an aromatic depth. The base notes of tonka bean, benzoin, and patchouli bring warmth and a touch of sweetness, creating a harmonious balance between spiciness and vanilla. Often discussed in enthusiast forums as an accessible alternative to darker iris fragrances like Dior Homme Intense, Gentleman Eau de Parfum strikes a distinctive chord with its blend of modernity and classic elegance.
Apply two to three sprays for optimal longevity; the top notes are fresh and spicy but quickly give way to a rich base that develops over time. Given its warm and powdery undertones, it pairs well with cool weather but also works in warmer climates as a subtle statement.
