Launched in 2019, Gardenia & Cardamom by Banana Republic is a floral fragrance that captures the essence of an unexpected encounter between gardenia and cardamom. Created by perfumers Mane and Vincent Kuczinski, this composition opens with mandarin orange and gardenia, creating a bright yet warm opening. The heart of tuberose, jasmine, and ylang-ylang adds depth and complexity, while the base notes of amber and driftwood ground the scent in rich warmth. This fragrance is neither overly sweet nor too spicy, striking a harmonious balance that makes it suitable for both women and men.
Apply lightly to pulse points — the mandarin orange and gardenia notes are bright but can quickly become overwhelming if overapplied. The amber and driftwood base notes develop slowly on the skin, so give it time to settle before layering or reapplying.
