Rouge Smoking by BDK Parfums, launched in 2018 and crafted by perfumer Amelie Bourgeois, is an Oriental fragrance that embodies the brand's commitment to narrative-driven creations. The composition opens with a bright burst of cherry and pink pepper before transitioning into a heart of bergamot and heliotrope, which adds a delicate floral touch. At its core, Rouge Smoking features black vanilla husk, tonka bean, and cashmere wood, creating a powdery and musky base that evokes the warmth of an intimate evening.
Apply two sprays for a balanced experience — the cherry and pink pepper top notes are vibrant but short-lived, while the musky and woody base continues to develop throughout the day. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than in open air.
