Launched in 2014, Legend by Boadicea the Victorious is a woody Oriental fragrance that embodies quintessential British elegance. Created by perfumer Christian Provenzano, this scent opens with bright citrus and floral notes like ylang-ylang, neroli, and mandarin orange, which give way to a heart of jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, and rose. The base notes feature rich accords of oud, sandalwood, and patchouli, grounded by earthy vetiver and musk. Legend is neither overly sweet nor heavy; instead, it strikes a balance between warmth and freshness.
Legend has a gradual development, so apply it an hour before you need to wear it. The citrus top notes are fleeting but vibrant; the woody base will last throughout the day. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than across a room.
