The story behind the bottle.
Basso by Sospiro Perfumes was launched in 2022 and crafted by perfumer Christian Provenzano, capturing the commanding presence of a powerful basso profondo voice. The fragrance opens with a sharp, aromatic note of Grapefruit, leading into a heart of deep Labdanum, spicy Carnation, and hints of Mayflower. These notes create an intriguing tension, softened by smothering base notes like Sandalwood, Vetiver, Black Pepper, Pink Pepper, Galbanum, Nutmeg, Guaiac Wood, Oakmoss, and Cedar. The overall effect is a pleasant struggle between power and passion, evoking the dramatic presence of a commanding performance.
Apply Basso sparingly as the Grapefruit top note is bright but fleeting. The complex base notes take time to bloom fully, so it's best to let them develop naturally on your skin rather than layering heavily. Ideal for evenings when you want a scent that evolves through the night.
