The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2012 by Boadicea the Victorious, Lunar is a woody-amber fragrance created by perfumer Christian Provenzano. The composition opens with cassis and ginger, adding an unexpected brightness to the otherwise warm and enveloping heart of ylang-ylang, birch, copahu balm, Egyptian jasmine, tuberose, and rose. The base notes of cinnamon, patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla, amber, incense, and vetiver create a rich blend that reads as both comforting and slightly mysterious.
Lunar has strong sillage and long-lasting longevity, so start with one spray to the pulse points. The cinnamon and ginger in the top notes are bright but fade quickly, making way for the rich base notes that develop over time. It’s best worn during cooler weather when the warmth of the amber and patchouli can truly shine.
