Launched in 2020 by Bortnikoff and crafted by Dmitry Bortnikoff, Oud Loukoum is a sophisticated Oriental Woody fragrance that marries the richness of oud with the sweetness of dried fruits and tobacco. The composition opens with a burst of ylang-ylang and Peru balsam before settling into a deep base of Indian oud and guaiac wood. This contrast creates an intricate balance between warmth and sweetness, evoking the complex layers of traditional Middle Eastern desserts like loukoum.
Oud Loukoum has long-lasting longevity but moderate sillage, so one or two sprays are sufficient to allow the fragrance to develop on your skin gradually. It reads better close to the skin rather than filling a room, making it ideal for intimate settings where its complexity can be fully appreciated.
