Oud Maximus by Bortnikoff was launched in 2018 and crafted by Dmitry Bortnikoff, showcasing the brand's commitment to using rare and distinctive materials. This fragrance opens with a fresh citrus-aromatic blend of sweet orange, bergamot, and pink pepper, which cuts through the richness of its heart and base notes. The heart features jasmine sambac, rose de mai, and frangipani, adding floral warmth that contrasts beautifully against the spicy cardamom and clove. At its core, Oud Maximus is anchored by a powerful oud note, enhanced with musky and animalic accords like civet and natural musk, creating an enveloping warmth.
Apply Oud Maximus in small amounts; its powerful base notes can be overwhelming if used excessively. This fragrance blooms slowly over time, so it's best to allow at least an hour for the full character to emerge.
