Launched in 2018, Vétiver Nocturne by Bortnikoff is an Oriental Fougère fragrance crafted by Dmitry Bortnikoff. The composition opens with a bright and fresh citrus-aromatic blend of bergamot and cardamom, which gives way to a heart of frangipani, jasmine sambac, and champaca — creating an intricate floral bouquet that adds warmth and depth. As the scent settles into its base, vetiver root, oakmoss, myrrh, agarwood (oud), ambergris, and sandalwood combine to form a rich earthy-woody accord, reminiscent of a moonlit forest. This fragrance is neither traditionally masculine nor feminine, embodying an elegant and sophisticated unisex profile.
Apply Vétiver Nocturne lightly at first; its base notes take about an hour to fully bloom. It is best enjoyed close to skin rather than across a room, making it ideal for intimate settings or evening wear.
