The story behind the bottle.
Oud Maximus Autumn 2019 by Bortnikoff is a bold and complex Oriental Woody fragrance that was launched in 2019. Created by Dmitry Bortnikoff, this composition opens with sweet orange and bergamot, bringing a fresh citrus brightness to the top notes. As it evolves, cardamom and pink pepper add a warm spice layer, followed by rich florals like jasmine sambac and rose de mai. The heart of the fragrance is anchored by Indian oud and birch tar, which give it an earthy depth that contrasts beautifully with the floral sweetness above.
Given its strong sillage and long-lasting nature, one or two sprays is sufficient. The fragrance blooms over time, so it's best applied in advance to allow all layers to fully emerge. It reads particularly well close to skin, making it ideal for intimate moments.
