Launched in 2011 by Calvin Klein and crafted by perfumers Ann Gottlieb and IFF, CK One Shock For Him is a bold Oriental Spicy fragrance that stands out with its strong tobacco-and-cocoa gourmand composition. This scent has been praised for its rich and warm notes at an accessible price point, though some critics find it synthetic-smelling with average projection and longevity. The blend of lavender, clementine, and cardamom offers a fresh spicy opening before settling into the heart of tobacco, amber, and woody notes, creating a warm and inviting aroma.
This fragrance has a strong initial burst but fades quickly. Apply two to three sprays initially for the best effect. The tobacco and amber notes bloom slowly, so it’s better suited for cooler evenings or indoor settings.
