Chanel No. 46 was launched in 1946, a time when the world was rebuilding and reimagining itself. This fragrance captures that spirit of renewal with a blend of citrus brightness and woody warmth. The opening notes of bergamot and orange give way to a heart of jasmine and rose, grounded by sandalwood and vetiver in the base. Chanel No. 46 is not just a scent but an embodiment of elegance and resilience.
Given its enormous sillage and eternal longevity, one or two sprays are sufficient. The citrus opening is bright but fades quickly into a more substantial floral-woody base that lasts throughout the day. Best applied close to skin for an intimate, long-lasting effect.
