Launched in 2018, Clive Christian's 1872 Basil is an aromatic woody fragrance that channels the brand’s rich history and commitment to quality. The scent opens with a fresh and spicy burst of basil, lime, bergamot, grapefruit, and black pepper, creating a vibrant and invigorating top note. As it settles, petitgrain, nutmeg, sage, marigold, cyclamen, freesia, jasmine, and patchouli add layers of complexity and warmth. The base notes of cedar, ambergris, musk, and olibanum anchor the composition with a rich, woody depth.
Apply a light spritz to your pulse points — the vibrant top notes are potent but brief. The rich base will develop over time, so let it settle for about half an hour before heading out. This fragrance pairs well with casual attire during cooler months.
