Launched in 2012 by Giorgio Armani, Acqua di Gio Essenza is a Woody Aquatic fragrance crafted by perfumer Alberto Morillas. It opens with a bright and zesty combination of bergamot and grapefruit, infused with the freshness of water notes and calone for an invigorating start. The heart blends floral jasmine and spicy basil, adding depth to the aromatic base that includes cedar, vetiver, and patchouli. The overall composition is one of crisp sophistication, where fresh aquatic elements balance woody warmth.
One to two sprays are enough to capture its essence. The citrus top notes fade quickly, but the woody base provides lasting warmth that's perfect for daytime or early evening. This fragrance reads best close to the skin rather than in a room.
