The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2019 by Giorgio Armani, Acqua di Gio Absolu Instinct is a Woody Aquatic fragrance that captures the essence of modern elegance. Perfumer Alberto Morillas has crafted a composition that balances the brightness of citrus and sea notes with the warmth of amberwood and patchouli. The opening layers of lemon and bergamot give way to seaweed and sea notes, creating an aquatic freshness that feels both contemporary and lasting. As it settles, the fragrance reveals a powdery yet spicy base of ebony wood and amberwood, adding depth and complexity.
Apply one or two sprays to key pulse points. The bright top notes will fade within an hour, but they set the stage for the rich base notes that last through the day. This fragrance is best worn close to skin rather than sprayed widely, as it reads better in intimate settings.
