Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Diorissimo by Dior was launched in 1956 and crafted by the renowned perfumer Edmond Roudnitska. This fragrance embodies a fresh, green floral bouquet that was groundbreaking at the time for its innovative use of lily-of-the-valley as a central note. The scent opens with a burst of green leaves and bergamot before diving into a heart of lily-of-the-valley, lilac, jasmine, and ylang-ylang, creating an aromatic floral blend that is both crisp and delicate. The base notes of sandalwood and civet add warmth without overpowering the fresh, soapy character that defines Diorissimo.
Apply Diorissimo with two sprays to ensure that its fresh top notes are noticeable. The fragrance develops quickly on the skin, so it's best used for daytime wear when you want a subtle yet distinctive aroma. It pairs well with light fabrics like cotton and silk.
