Launched in 1997 by Dior and crafted by perfumers Jean-Pierre Bethouart and Olivier Cresp, Dune Pour Homme is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance that captures the essence of modern elegance. The composition opens with fig leaf and cassis, providing a fresh and fruity burst that transitions into a heart of sage, basil, and rose, offering a lush green complexity. The base notes of sandalwood, cedar, tonka bean, and vanilla create a warm and powdery finish, grounding the entire fragrance in earthy sophistication.
Two sprays are sufficient for this fragrance to develop its full character. The fresh top notes fade within an hour but make way for the warm and powdery base notes that last throughout the day. It’s best suited for daytime wear, where it exudes a polished and understated confidence.

From chemistry to Caron's Parfum SacréJean-Pierre Béthouart is a French perfumer born in Picardy who studied chemistry before discovering perfumery, beginning his career at Givaudan in 1981 and working there until 1987, after which he became a senior perfumer at Firmenich.
