The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2017 by Dior and crafted by François Demachy, Sauvage Very Cool Spray is a fresh spicy aromatic fragrance that captures the essence of modern masculinity. The composition opens with bright citrus notes from grapefruit and bergamot, paired with a sharp kick from pepper variants like Sichuan and pink pepper. These vibrant top notes give way to an herbal heart where lavender and geranium add a subtle depth. The base is anchored by woody elements such as patchouli, vetiver, elemi, ambroxan, and cedar, creating a warm and grounded finish that reads as confident yet approachable.
One to two sprays are sufficient due to its bright opening notes. The citrus and pepper top notes fade within about an hour, but the herbal warmth in the base lingers well into the evening. Ideal for daytime wear when you need a scent that's fresh yet grounded.
