HeartThe Soul
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2016 by Etat Libre d'Orange, Don't Get Me Wrong Baby, YES I DO is an audacious blend of aldehydic freshness and musky warmth, a signature style for this daring French house. Perfumer Antoine Maisondieu crafts a composition that opens with the crisp brightness of lily of the valley and pear, before transitioning into a heart of jasmine and orange blossom. The base notes of peony, cocoa, and cedar add depth, creating a contrast between the soapy aldehydic top and the enveloping musk.
This fragrance blooms best when you apply it to pulse points and let it develop over time. The aldehydic top notes are bright but fleeting, so the richer base notes will carry the scent through the day. It's better for daytime wear as the cocoa adds a subtle warmth that complements the musk.
