Launched in 2011, Acqua di Gio - Acqua di Life Edition by Giorgio Armani is a fragrance that marries the crispness of sea water and bergamot with unexpected depths of persimmon and French labdanum. The composition opens with a marine-aromatic accord that feels like walking along a misty coastline, but it quickly evolves into something warmer and more complex. The heart notes of neroli and watercress add a green freshness, while the base of amber and patchouli offers a subtle warmth that lingers on skin.
This fragrance is best applied with two sprays, allowing the marine top notes to blend into the warmer base. The transition from freshness to warmth takes about an hour, so plan accordingly for the shift in mood throughout the day. It reads better close to skin than across a room.
