Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Eau de Vetyver by Givenchy was launched in 1959, marking one of the earliest fragrances under the brand's perfume line. The composition opens with a bright burst of bergamot, which quickly gives way to the earthy richness of vetiver and coriander. As it settles into its base notes of sandalwood and cedar, Eau de Vetyver transforms into an olfactory experience that is both grounding and subtly spicy, embodying the French elegance for which Givenchy has long been known.
For best results, apply Eau de Vetyver to pulse points. The bergamot top note fades quickly, so the initial spritz should be ample enough for the base notes to take over seamlessly. This fragrance works well in cooler weather when its earthy and woody tones are more pronounced.
