HeartThe Soul
The story behind the bottle.
Givenchy's Les Parfums Mythiques L'Interdit, launched in 2007, is an aldehydic floral composition that marries the crispness of aldehydes with rich florals and powdery woods. The fragrance opens with a bright aldehydic note, quickly enveloped by rose and white flowers like peony and tuberose, creating a complex yet harmonious bouquet. As it settles, osmanthus and violet leaf add an unexpected green depth, while base notes of sandalwood, amber, and musk provide warmth and longevity.
This fragrance is best applied in light layers — its powdery and woody base notes develop gradually over time. It works well for daytime wear but can also transition to evening without feeling too heavy. The aldehydic top notes are bright and fresh, so a lighter touch helps balance the richness of the floral heart.
