The story behind the bottle.

Scentsation editorial

Launched in 1985 by Annick Goutal, Sables is a fragrance that embodies the essence of an oriental woody composition. The nose behind this creation, Annick herself, blends immortelle with cinnamon and pepper to create a warm spicy opening that transitions into a heart of black tea and sandalwood. The base notes of amber and tobacco add depth and warmth, making Sables a truly distinctive scent that evokes the comfort of a well-worn leather armchair in an old library.

How to wear it

Sables is best applied in light layers — two sprays on each wrist will allow the warm spices and woody notes to develop naturally over time. This fragrance reads beautifully close to skin, so avoid heavy application for an intimate and nuanced experience.
