Christine Nagel's Barénia by Hermès, launched in 2024, is a woody and spicy chypre that combines the warmth of patchouli and oud with the brightness of citrus. The top notes of miracle berry and bergamot introduce a fresh vibrancy before giving way to the heart of white ginger lily and patchouli, which adds an element of floral sweetness and earthy depth. The base notes of akigalawood and oak provide a grounding warmth that anchors the composition in a rich, enveloping embrace.
