L'Eau D'Issey Une goutte sur un Petale by Issey Miyake was launched in 2007 and was crafted by perfumer Alberto Morillas. This fragrance is a delicate balance of citrus freshness, floral elegance, and warm powdery notes that evoke a sense of serene sophistication. The opening notes of orange, mandarin orange, and lemon create an immediate freshness, while the heart of mimosa and rose adds a subtle sweetness. The woody base with musk, vanilla, and amber provides a grounding warmth that keeps the composition from feeling too light or fleeting.
This fragrance blooms gradually, so a single spray is sufficient. The citrus top notes are bright but fleeting, while the powdery base notes emerge after about an hour. It works best for daytime wear when you want a subtle yet enduring presence.
