The story behind the bottle.
Pleats Please L Elixir by Issey Miyake was launched in 2012, crafted by perfumer Aurélien Guichard. The composition opens with a delicate mix of gardenia and heliotrope, creating an initial impression of freshness and sweetness. As the fragrance develops, notes of peony and sweet pea add layers of floral complexity, while vanilla provides warmth and comfort. Underneath, cedar and patchouli offer a woody foundation that grounds the composition in earthy tones.
Issey Miyake is renowned for his innovative approach to fabric and design, and this fragrance reflects that spirit through its balance of fresh florals and warm, powdery notes. Pleats Please L Elixir captures the essence of elegance with understated sophistication.
Apply this fragrance in light layers — a single spritz allows each note to unfold naturally. The fresh florals are prominent initially but give way to the rich base notes over time. Best suited for daytime wear, where its warm yet subtle character shines.
