The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2018, Le Mâle Eau Fraîche André Edition by Jean Paul Gaultier is a fragrance that captures the essence of contemporary elegance. Perfumer Natalie Gracia-Cetto crafted this aromatic fougère with a fresh spicy twist, opening with mint and aldehydes to create an invigorating top note. The heart notes of neroli, sage, and clary sage add a green freshness, while the base notes of vanilla, tonka bean, and sandalwood provide warmth and depth. This composition is a modern take on classic masculinity, blending crispness with subtle sensuality.
Apply two sprays to ensure the aldehydic top notes have enough presence, but be mindful that they fade quickly. The warm base notes develop gradually over time, so this fragrance is best worn in layers or reapplied as needed.
