Launched in 2017 by Jo Malone London and crafted by perfumer Yann Vasnier, English Oak & Redcurrant is a scent that balances the sharp vibrancy of red currant with the rich warmth of oak. The top note of red currant introduces an immediate freshness and sourness, cutting through any sweetness to create a crisp, invigorating start. As it develops, rose adds a soft floral touch, grounding the composition in a subtle elegance. The base note of oak provides a woody depth that feels both familiar and comforting, like stepping into a well-loved library.
This fragrance has a short-lived top note, so apply it to pulse points for an initial burst of red currant. The woody base develops gradually over time, making it ideal for daytime wear. One or two sprays are sufficient as the scent is well-balanced and not overpowering.
