Vert d'Encens by Tom Ford was launched in 2016 and crafted by perfumers Olivier Gillotin and Michael Nordstrand, among others. This fragrance marries the freshness of conifer and aromatic notes with the warmth of amber and balsamic accords, creating a complex interplay between crisp greenery and rich woodsmoke. The smoky undertones ground the composition, while the fresh spicy elements add an unexpected edge, making it both familiar and surprising.
Apply two sprays initially — the fresh aromatic top notes are fleeting but set the stage for the deeper woody and amber base. This fragrance blooms best close to skin, so reapply if you want it to last through an evening.
