Launched in 2016 and crafted by perfumers Olivier Gillotin and Michael Nordstrand, Vert des Bois by Tom Ford is a Woody fragrance that captures the essence of a lush forest. The composition opens with poplar buds and olive tree notes, creating an aromatic freshness that gives way to anise and plum for a subtle sweetness. Patchouli and jasmine add depth, while tonka bean rounds out the base with warmth and balsamic richness. This fragrance is neither masculine nor feminine in its conventional sense but rather embodies the quiet confidence of nature.
Vert des Bois projects its woody base notes well, so apply one or two sprays to capture both its aromatic top and balsamic warmth. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than across a room, making it ideal for intimate settings.
