The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1996 by L'Artisan Parfumeur, Drôle de Rose is a Floral fragrance for both women and men crafted by perfumer Olivia Giacobetti. This composition balances the classic powdery notes with a fresh, unexpected twist, combining star anise and African orange flower to create a vibrant opening. As it settles, rose and iris take center stage, enveloped in a warmth that’s both familiar and distinctive. The result is a fragrance that feels like a modern reimagining of traditional floral scents.
This parfum concentration means it will stay close to your skin, so a light spritz is recommended. The star anise and orange flower open quickly but dissipate within an hour, leaving the rose and iris base to linger throughout the day.
