Violaceum 2 by L'Artisan Parfumeur was launched in 2016 and crafted by perfumer Daphné Bugey. This composition opens with a fresh, powdery accord that immediately feels both familiar and refined. The heart of the fragrance is dominated by violet and iris, creating an elegant floral bouquet that is neither overwhelming nor overly sweet. As it settles into its earthy base notes, Violaceum 2 reveals a warm, spicy undertone that adds depth without overpowering the delicate florals.
This fragrance is best applied lightly — one or two sprays to start. The powdery opening is delicate and fades within an hour, but the floral heart and earthy base continue to develop throughout the day. It reads well in close proximity, so a light application allows the scent to evolve naturally on your skin.
