The story behind the bottle.
Marrakech by Lancôme was launched in 1946, the creation of renowned perfumer Armand Petitjean. This Oriental Floral fragrance opens with aldehydes and citrus notes that capture a sense of freshness, before transitioning into a heart of orange blossom, Turkish rose, and jasmine. The base is richly layered with mysore sandalwood, tonka bean, ambergris, labdanum, vanilla, benzoin, oakmoss, leather, and musk, evoking the warmth and complexity of Marrakech itself.
Apply Marrakech with confidence — the aldehydes and citrus top notes are bright but short-lived. The rich base notes develop slowly over time, so it’s best to let them settle on your skin for at least an hour before heading out.
